Science of Reading & Multilingual Learner Modules
Comprehensive & Flexible Professional Development Solution:
For Educators Looking to Enhance Their Understanding and Teaching Practice for Literacy Instruction with Multilingual Learners
Facilitated by Chad Ransom & Karen Wattenmaker
This series includes six engaging, self-paced modules, designed to cover essential topics such as language objectives, fluency, vocabulary development, and effective assessment practices. Each module covers one topic and offers a brief overview of current literature and research (what), why it matters, and a modeled replicable process for teaching the practice in your classroom with support (how).
These modules offer educators a chance to deepen their practice, ensure better language outcomes for students, and align instruction with evidence-based approaches.

What Teachers Are Saying
“I really liked the data that shows how it benefits everyone and doesn't put our advanced students in a spot that leads to boredom … I also appreciated having an actual template that I could use to start practicing right away ...”
— 3rd Grade Teacher
“I honestly loved the outline of this module. It was easy to follow, but I also loved how it tied together. It was not an "okay next" thing. Everything was tied together, and we see how all the components can work together. I personally wouldn't change a thing.”
— Kindergarten Teacher
